Check-in was a mess with long lines and only one person at the desk. My room wasn’t cleaned at all, and basic toiletries were missing. It felt more like a hostel than a hotel.

The room I received was initially a surprise upgrade to a suite. It featured a spacious bedroom and a separate office area, perfect for work. The bed was large and comfortable, allowing for restful sleep. Temperature control was effective, keeping the room cozy. Cleanliness was mostly good, but I did find some dust on surfaces like the kettle and side table. Noise levels were pleasant, with minimal disturbances. the refrigerator didn’t work, which was inconvenient.

My room was super spacious with the most comfortable bed ever! The staff were always so friendly and happy to help with anything I needed. Plus, the location was ideal for catching all the city vibes and exploring amazing restaurants like Giordano's nearby!

The breakfast area vibes are awesome; the staff are super friendly and helpful. The room size is generous, and the elevator is quick enough to make you feel like you're in a race.
However, the customer service left much to be desired.

My friends and I had a lit time exploring deep dish pizza joints and jamming at the comedy clubs nearby. The beds were like sleeping on clouds, and the location was primo for hitting up the city. Definitely coming back for more adventures!
Wish there was a cool hangout spot in the hotel where we could chill and meet other young travelers.

Conveniently located, just a 10-minute walk to Millennium Park, yet distant from the noise. The staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and the room was impeccably clean. Security is paramount; loved the elevator access requirement with room keys. housekeeping was every three days, which shouldn’t mean begging for essentials like toiletries. The breakfast area was cramped and chaotic—crowded on weekends with limited options that rarely changed. Disappointingly, I experienced theft during my stay, exacerbated by a lack of security cameras and an indifferent manager. Improvements are needed, particularly in breakfast operations and guest security protocols. Enhanced management could elevate this experience significantly.

La Quinta By Wyndham Chicago Downtown offers an excellent location, just a short walk to Millennium Park and the river. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The beds were comfortable, making for a restful stay, though breakfast could use more variety and attention to detail.

Had a big room at a nice location and enjoyed a nice breakfast. Close to public transport and tourist attractions, the cozy room offered a pleasant stay. The breakfast variety ensured everyone found something to enjoy before exploring the city.
Staff appeared disinterested, more into phones than welcoming guests. Room cleaning and breakfast restrictions were disappointing;

This hotel is just steps away from the Willis Tower and a quick walk to Millennium Park, making it an ideal base for anyone who loves to explore the city on foot, with the Chicago Riverwalk only about 300 meters away, and the Navy Pier less than 3 km away, all of which I enjoyed visiting during my weekend strolls; the staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was a nice bonus but the housekeeping could be more consistent since my room was only made up once during my six-night stay.

Front desk staff were fantastic—early check-in and great local tips. The hotel was clean and the room spacious, but no easy chair was a miss. Breakfast was frustrating. Needing tickets for small portions felt off, and I was shocked by the lack of utensils; no forks! Oatmeal with just hot water isn’t ideal, and the food options could definitely be fresher. Limited housekeeping left things feeling a bit neglected. Despite the hiccups, I appreciated the comfortable bed and helpful staff.

Our room at La Quinta had a cozy sitting area, and the beds were incredibly comfortable—like sleeping on a cloud! The flat-screen TV allowed us to unwind after a long day of exploring Chicago. On the downside, we noticed a damp spot on the carpet that gave the room a weird smell. Although housekeeping didn't come by every day, having a way to dispose of our trash would have been handy during our multiple-night stay. We appreciated the handy ironing facilities to keep our clothes looking sharp. there were no tea and coffee facilities in the room. Free toiletries were a nice touch, but we wished there had been more variety, especially toothbrushes and tissues. The air conditioning was a bit tricky to control, and the water in our third-floor room had a strange chemical smell that left my face feeling a bit off. It would have been better if these issues had been addressed promptly by the management. The staff at La Quinta were generally helpful, but we encountered some challenges with certain managers who seemed dismissive of our concerns. the security team was understanding and assisted us with noise disturbances promptly, showing their attentiveness to guest comfort. The location of the hotel was convenient, with shops and commercial services nearby, although the erratic opening hours of the adjoining Noodle Bar were a bit frustrating. Despite these mixed experiences, we found appreciation in the small gestures of kindness from the security team and some of the staff.

The hotel is bursting with incredible attractions nearby, delicious free breakfast , and tons of fun things to do. Safety first with all kinds of detectors and guards. Quite posh for us fancy folks.
Oh, just loved sleeping on a mattress rollercoaster. So chic!

Great location in the heart of the city, easy access to major attractions and plenty of dining options nearby. Friendly staff and reasonable prices made our stay enjoyable. The breakfast options were varied and satisfying, setting us up for a day of exploring.
There were some noise issues during our stay, including a persistent loud clunking sound near the elevator and noise from neighboring rooms. The ventilation system in our room was extremely loud, disrupting our sleep.

the location was so convenient for me - just a short walk from union station, and there were plenty of take away options nearby. the hotel staff had great local tips and even helped me find a parking deal. the microwave in my room was a solo traveler's savior.

Staying at this family-friendly hotel chain known for its cozy rooms was a fantastic experience for us as a large family. The central location allowed us to easily explore the vibrant city of Chicago with our kids, making our family vacation truly memorable.
My wife says that a dedicated kids' play area would enhance the family experience.

We had an amazing time at this hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The room had everything we needed, including a cozy bed and a great view. The lobby's video screen showcasing city attractions was a nice touch. The hotel's location was perfect, within walking distance of major sites in Chicago. We loved it all!
More comfortable seating in the room would have been appreciated.

I was disappointed to find out that the free breakfast I had been looking forward to was not available, despite my reservation including it. The hotel's response to the missing Fitbit charge that I reported during my stay was unsatisfactory. I appreciate the convenience of the location and the clean room, but these issues left me feeling let down. I'll recommend this hotel.

we had a great stay at La Quinta. the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location in the middle of the loop was perfect for exploring. the hotel held our bags when we arrived early so we could start our day unencumbered. the room was clean, comfortable, and well-decorated with soothing earth tones. the breakfast was really good, and we felt safe with the safety measures in place.
